Get To Know Me

My name is Angela and I am the ‘bonusmomchef’.  I am thirty-one years old and on September 6, 2012 I officially became a bonus mom to two amazing kiddos when I married their dad.  Kiddo #1 is a beautiful and brilliant fifteen year old girl and kiddo #2 is a cute and funny eleven year old boy.  As you read a post or two you will get to know us all a little better and you will come to learn, as I did, how lucky and blessed I am to have inherited such an amazing little herd of mini-humans  .  I pretty much won the bonus mom lottery!

I am currently a s@hbm (Stay at home bonus mom) and wife, as well as an artist/crafter.  We have two long hair dachshunds, and a rescued kitty who just recently became an addition to our family.  I am one of those crazy coupon-clipping, sales-ad-reading, grocery-list-making-and-double-checking people.  Kiddo #1 has been on a Gluten-Free diet since she was 6mo old.  She scored a bonus mom who grew up with a mom who was also on a Gluten-Free diet, so I knew all about that.  I’ve made it one of my goals to learn to make the best gosh-darn tasting food ever  .  I consider it success when Kiddo #2 and the Hubinator say things like “Are you SURE this is gluten free?!?” because it tastes and has the texture of food that has all of the best gluten in it.  So in addition to art, crafting, and saving mad money, I also have become a gluten-free kitchen chemist.  I’m going to need a hat rack soon for all of the mom hats  .

If there is one thing I’ve learned so far in bonus mom-ing… it’s that I can get a stain out of any hat (or pair of jeans)…. and that the kids can stain (and break) any hat I can make.  And I wouldn’t trade it for the world!!!  Bring on more stains!!!  And more hats!!!!
